It is October 15th 1660 and he shivers in the macabre and horrific surroundings of a Newgate prison cell. Major General Thomas Harrison is about to pay a terrible price for signing the death warrant of a king. As the hours of his mortal life diminish, he is obsessed by spiritual concerns. As phantoms of dead despots, executed kings and ominous statues of biblical immortality torment him, it becomes ominously clear that the Fifth Monarchy from the Book of Daniel is NOT going to come to pass.
