Cindy’s Exposure

Cindy’s Exposure’ is a horrifying satire on humiliation television and the culture of the exploited, recycled deviant celebrity and appeared in the first print edition of Stag Hill Literary Journal (theme: Unknown Futures), which was launched at the Surrey New Writers Festival in June 2018. Synopsis: Cindy, a disintegrating, drug-addicted soap opera actress of the nineties is manipulated into appearing on a celebrity ‘rehab’ style show on the pretext of turning her life around and resuscitating her career. However, during the broadcast Cindy goes off-script and exposes the sinister architects of her torment carrying out their abuse shielded by establishment respectability. Be warned, this is a story with disturbing themes in which Jimmy Saville makes a baleful cameo.
