Another installment of my autobiographical novel (as yet no title) based on my experiences of living and working in Saudi Arabia was published by The Font magazine in April 2022. In Sewage, Sand and Sisyphus the narrator’s first day in his new job involves pleading with indifferent administrators to be allowed to escape from an apartment swirling with sewage on a university campus resembling a desert gulag.
